Our Services in Perspective

Our Services in Perspective

We have worked with many types of companies in many sectors across the globe. The categories below are the one’s we love to talk about at the moment. Hopefully there is something you see that you like which perhaps inspires you. If you want to see some more let us know.

Design & Engineering

When it comes to design and engineering this is the part that brings us heaps of joy!

We are reminded of the many challenges but the one that sticks out was in our early days when we struggled with sufficient support – particularly for used robots.

These machines are awesome and even the earlier ones are still good for many years. We realise that not everyone can afford brand new.

So – from those early days of struggling we learnt the importance of self-creativity and this has helped may of our project s to be more affordable.

We just love making things especially when we can get our costs down.

Timber

Timber is not as easy as one would first imagine.

We have to teach our robots to get the same touchy feely characteristics that us humans have. In particular is our fondness for sustainability objectives. We love nature and we love the outdoors but we also realise that nature does allow us to use some of its resources – wisely.

This project required immense emotional attachment as we clearly wanted to help the client achieve their environmental sustainability targets and maintain our deepest respect for nature.

So – waste (or eradicating waste) became a primary focus.

Welding

Our Mauritian guy loves this stuff – sparks, heat and a little smoke – but absolutely perfect results.

We get asked to do many things and sometimes we get really ancient equipment that people want us to use.

When we were asked to refurbish some welding robots and modify them to do stainless steel as well as the normal mild steel and aluminium products we had GREAT fun.

During this project we looked at consumption issues and tweaked the system where we could to be more energy efficient. Not only does this save the customer cost and time but it helps to reduce the load on natural resources – even if only a little.

Bottling

We are still experimenting with some simple low volume units because one thing Covid19 brought home was the vulnerability of big business and systemic supply chains – which smaller business relied on.

We want small industries to benefit in the bad times as well as the good.

Of course we all hate beer in South Africa – not! Well we just figured it would be a great idea to get the small craft brewers to be more independent with some robotic controls that didn’t cost the earth – pardon the pun.

So we’re working towards minimising important resources (such as water and electricity) to get small beer producing plants to wash, bottle and cap – in a very efficient way.

Boats

A world full of magic Oceans. I told you we loved nature and the outdoors. So why not get involved in boats – well yachts actually. Clean – quiet- serene – swish – environmentally intact. Boats for us are primarily works of art – with masses of science embedded in its very fabric.

Naturally this project was one of pure joy – but I can tell you – it gave us a few gray hairs to get it right.

Often we have to take our design and development back to the drawing – but not because the initial design was in any way inferior – but because our team constantly challenges solutions for better quality – and when we see better benefits by changing – we start again.
